Creating the Jurassic World movie style guides for its first two cinema releases.
After our experience on the hugely successful first Jurassic World movie guide we were raring to go when the brief for the second movie came in. Universal needed more of the same, plus a range of digital kits for online, and a feature video for their licensing show.
What made this challenge different from our previous movie guide for Jurassic World was that the filming of this movie was taking place as we were creating the styles. This required us to work up assets from the script with no final visual reference, so we had to know our dinosaurs.
Our core themes reflected the movie perfectly - tracking, containment, science, artifacts, dinosaur protection.
We created six exclusive point of sale kits for retail, all themed around key stories from the movie. They brought the sets and atmospheres from those scenes to life to produce visuals that wowed and worked across multiple store positionings, including mass, mid, speciality and class.
We produced a ‘Save the dinosaurs’ engagement campaign which was rolled out across all touch points.
Save the dinosaurs created a lot of buzz. We envisaged it, we designed it, and we brought it to life. The story themed campaign celebrated the great work of the movie’s dinosaur protection group, spreading the word through merchandise and a set of eye catching movie launch visuals.
Delivered in record time and working across all categories, the Jurassic World movie guides were a huge success.
